New porch & Lanterns

Red Galvanized  Lanterns

New Porch

New porch is up.  This is outside my quilt studio
Just love it, such a perfect place to take a break
when working on the longarm.
Siding is so warm.  My plan is to put sage green shudders
on the window, paint the door eggplant.
View toward the steps and from the door.
 AND.......
our lanterns came today.  One will go at the door
the other two out on the posts.
I do think this will be the best place for taking a break
when working on the longarm.
Great addition to my studio.

Update:   I forgot to comment on my wrist.  It is much better and am able to do
nearly everything as before, somethings never heal the same as we
reach our older years.   I am thankful that it is 95% back to normal.

10 Long Weeks

10 Long Weeks

Yes, 10 weeks since I fell on the ice.
Still not perfect but am able to do alot of things again,
like type.
I am making plans to get back to my organizing.
Looks like a busy summer,
4 custom quilts to be done, among other things.
If you would like to see those come together, hop on over to my
quilting and embroidery blog,  HERE

Decorating is not just on the inside,  of course.
Last summer we did some work on the outside.
Kirk is be very creative, thinking of things I would not
because I could not personally pull it off.
He has been wanting a car/truck port for awhile so he did this.
Then he decided to turn a box that you would see a semi pulling into
this
here is what things looked like before.
What a change, we love it, wonder what will be next.

my two other blogs.

Spring is here, have begun some gardening chores, am loving the drier weather.

God's blessings to you and yours.

Until later.......<3 br="">

Organizing On Hold

I was able to get some work in the kitchen
bottom cabinets.  It is amazing how much dust
gets into cabinets even behind closed doors.

After removing and cleaning and purging
it feels good to have clean cabinets.

Next day the drawers are done.

I began by cleaning out the cabinets and drawers
remember the hinges, they get dusty, too.

vacuumed and wiped out the shelves & drawers

 washed those things needed
got rid of a few things
and reloaded things into their homes.

here is a before...mess..out of control
after
took an old coffee can and am using
it to hold brushes and such.

I did get started on the bedroom

BUT

life has happened
I had an encounter with a patch of ice
a week and a half ago,
sprained my wrist,
so organizing is on hold for a bit.

I hope others are making progress.

Until later
God bless
