I have been thinking.....

Wow it has been a long time since I have posted

what a year it has been

so anyway

 

I have been thinking (a practice that always produces work for either myself or Kirk, or gets me into trouble). What if each week I took one room and deep cleaned it (this can take the whole week, a few hours a day, or one day whole hog), purge, organize. Including the windows as "a room" that would give me 8 rooms, (combining bathrooms a one room) so every 8 weeks a room would get a going over, giving each room a good cleaning 6 times a year. Regular cleaning would go on as normal (or not). Hummm, it might work....to keep up on things better without trying to do it all at once.

 Just thinking.......

I think I shall start with the kitchen, I did part of it before Christmas

so will finish off on the things I saw that I want to do,

like clean out each cabinet.

I do not have any before pictures, 

but here are some afters

 Oh boy does that look better, it wasn't very nice up there.

 Everything is nice and shiny again.

Reorginzation

Oh my goodness, I did not realize it had been so long since I have posted.  I apologize.  This year has just gotten away from me.

I am working on reorganizing my pantry, so I think I will do some posts about that, not very exciting I know.   
6 years of it being a catch all, this is quite a job.  Thursday I did the tops of the cabinets,  with water and some seed I could have grown grass up there.  It is nice to have it clean again and who knows when it will get done again.

This room is 6 foot x about 30 feet.  It is the laundry/pantry/utility/storage/refrigerator/freezer room.  It used to keep my fabric stash and scrapbooking supplies in here, too, but they got moved upstairs about 1 1/2 years ago, after I move those things I had space, but since I did not reorganize then it became find a spot and stick it in there things.  So today, I worked on getting all like things together, all my soaping supplies in one space, herbs in another, etc.  I now have an empty cabinet....I need to decide if I should use it for food items for extra medical supplies, shampoos, and such.  I could really use the containers (plastic drawers) that those things are in, in my studio for fabric.  We shall see.

Don't be afraid, I have a rope tied to my ankle just in case.  More to come on the reorganization, though I am not going to be done, as I have on order some additional shelves for inside the cabinets, until then at least I can get the items into their new homes.
