Pink Saturday - Hen's and Chicks

I thought this would be an interesting thing to post
for Pink Saturday.

For a few weeks now my hens and chicks has been putting
on a flower stock.
I have never seen these flower before.
the stock got about 15 inches long and began to bend over.
In the picture below your seeing the flower opened up and laying
across the flat of plants, if you look at the picture about
mid way between center and the right side you can see the stock.

Wish I had gotten more pictures as it progressed.

Here is a closer view.  Interesting flowers and they are edged in pink.

Closer yet......
look at those little hairs and the flower centers.
Cool aren't they.

A hens and chick plant, close up.
Love the water droplets on it.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing the flower of this plant.

Our Lady

A tribute to our Miss Lady Grace
January 1, 2000 - July 18, 2010
we miss you girl

Lady was one of those dogs, who won everyone's hearts
Her whole purpose in life was to please and she did
she was very smart and our grandson Bryce
was her best friend.  She would stand over him as he played
she would keep herself between him and the road.
She loved playing in the sprinklers with the grands
and even let the baby animals climb on her.
Playing ball was her 'thing' and she did it even
after she had gone blind, with Rocky's help.

Thank you Lady for loving us so much.

Pink Saturday - Better then a Bouquet of Flowers

Happy Pink Saturday
What you may ask could be better then a bouquet of flowers?
Will, I'll tell you, but first
let me show you some pinks from my garden.
Yarrow

Now for the better then flowers........

DH came home with these treasures, that were being
thrown out!  Can you believe it.  Look at those windows.
Then there is the bucket and pan.
The other item, I think went to an outdoor lamp,
it has a door in it like a bird cage.

Some more lilies.
Tomorrow, I get to go dig through the barn the above items
were found in, I hope to find some more treasures.
I hope you have enjoyed your visit.

Pink Saturday - Flower arrangement

Happy Pink Saturday
Hi Everyone, I hope your week has been a good one.  We have been busy as always
had a couple of cooler days, even got down to 41 one night....
that is July in Wy.

A few weeks ago I found this really pretty copper watering can at our True Value store.
I just fell in love with the color.
When we went to Hobby Lobby I went in search of some
silk flowers, my first idea was white flowers,
but that soon changed when I found these aqua/turquoise lillies.
I of course needed a few pink flower
my first thought was soft pink, that
soon changed.
Then came the white fillers and a pink butterfly.
After arranging the flowers,
the arrangement needed a bow.
What color.........
hummm
Check the ribbon box
Oh....Red polka dots
YA, with copper, aqua, hot pink,   YA

Here is the result, with a wee close up below.

I hope you like this as much as I do,
I am not normally so bold but I have to say, I need to do more bold.

Thank you to Beverly @ How Sweet the Home for hosting
this fun party every week.  Do stop over for a visit
and many more pink posts.

Pink Saturday - 4th of July

Happy 4th of July

May the Lord of Lords who gave us this wonderful country be praised.
I am so thankful for what our founding fathers did for us, the amazing foresight they had,
now I pray that their sacrifice and that of all who have fought for our freedom
will not be wasted.

May God give us all wisdom to do what needs to be done to
save what He gave to us.

God Bless America

In thinking about what to share today, I realized I don't have any of
the usual decoration for the 4th of July.
So I well share a few things that are Red, White, and Blue.

I decided to put a lining in this basket, I have a table at our Old Timers celebration at the end of the month and I am making soaps and other bath products to sell. They will be in rose fragrance, the rose fabric seemed a perfect fit and I do like how it turned out. You may see this again in a week or so.

What should I add to this for the 'white'.......how about the doily Grandma made, and my magnolia candle holders. Ok, now for the blue, how about the candle holders I made,
and the bottle that was a gift from a friend. Oh and lets light the candles!

Here are a couple of close ups. I made these little votive holders using the glasses you get with the dried meat for making cream beef on toast (watch for another project with those glasses). What looks like sea glass is really from bottles broken and tumbled in the rock tumbler.

Lastly I wanted to share a collage of my eagle block.

I hope you have a wonderful, safe and blessed 4th of July.

God Bless America
land that I love
stand beside her and guide her
with your light from above.
