Ink, Thread, Quilt

I just had to share this new project with all of you. This is a quilt (12" x12"). Which I colored with gelly roll pens and now I am adding embroidery.

The ink and paint technique is Sherry Rodgers-Harrison's creation. She has a way she treats the fabric so that the inks won't run, which she covers in her book. She then made up some kits so we could all try it, and I just had to because her creations are so amazing. So if you'd like to see more visit Sherry @ Sew Far Sew Good Note: I just love Sherry's work, I get no compensation for you visiting.

Pink Saturday - Cocoa & Towels

Good morning all you Pinksters I hope this post finds you all well and healthy.

Last weekend when we were shopping I found these darling kitchen towels at Costco. They had so many cute ones to choose from but when I saw these pink ones the decision was easy to make.

I love cocoa and then there is of course Pink

Aren't these just to darling. The set came with 2 each of the printed towels, 2 pink, 2 brown and 2 tan and they are twice the size of any other towels I have.

So if you have a Costco near by, go get a set. Ok, now I can use them cause I shared them with you all. They are going to be so cute on my kitchen counter. Giggle.

I would like to thank everyone who has prayed for Holly, her funeral is today, so please lift up her family and friends in prayer as they say their goodbyes.

Thank you to Beverly @ How Sweet the Sound for hosting Pink Saturday.
I don't know about you but I just love going around and seeing what everyone is sharing for PS

God Bless everyone and my you enjoy every second of your life.

Pink Saturday - Crazy Quilted Stocking

Happy Pink Saturday.

I hope this finds everyone doing well. I want to thank everyone who has been praying for Holly. Please continue, she is not out of the woods yet, but they are seeing improvement. See my last post for info.

This week I figured out how to get those collages, over at Picnik.com you can play around with your pictures (I know I am a slow learner, everyone else already knows about this). It took me awhile to get comfortable with their program but I am coming along. So here are the results.

TA DA..........................

I wanted to showcase the stocking I made for my grand daughter, Destiny. In the first set of pictures are a few close ups of the hand work I did. I won't bore you with stitch names and threads used, but let you look.

Next you can see the whole stocking and one more detail. It has been fun making the crazy quilted stockings, there are also a white one (I am keeping this one), a blue one (now my SIL's), a green one (now my MIL's) and the one I am doing for my daughter.

If by any chance you'd like to see more of my quilting and crazy quilting work you can visit my quilting blog Big Horn Mountain Creations (those other stockings are over there....hint, hint).

I hope you have enjoyed the stocking. For more wonderful Pink posts visit Beverly @

Pink Saturday - Quilting

Happy Pink Saturday. I am hoping this post finds you all well and enjoying early spring.

I thought I would share with you all some of my favorite hobbies. Quilting and Crazy Quilting.

First up is a pin keeper that I made and dressed up with Crazy Quilting. The pin keeper is made from 2 CDs, which the pins slide in between for storage.
side 1

side 2

Next is one of my favorite quilts, each block was created by a different person. We each made 12 of our chosen block and then exchanged with the other 11 players. The theme of this exchange was "Garden Party". The block I made and exchanged is in the lower right corner. I found the pink rose fabric while visiting a friend in Northern California, and the green rose fabric, I don't remember. Anyway this quilt design is called "Garden Trellis" a perfect fit.

Perhaps next week I will share the Pink Christmas stocking I did for my grand daughter in Crazy Quilting.

I hope you have enjoyed this wee pink post. Thank you to Beverly @ How Sweet the Sound

Pink Saturday & Winner Announcement

Hello, welcome to Pink Saturday. It has been quite the week around here, we had snow starting Wed night about 7 and it did not stop until about 5 pm the next day, and none of it stuck. LOL.

This weekend we celebrate Easter and the Resurrection of our Savior Christ Jesus. May your Easter be filled with blessings and reminders of why He came. Thank you Father for sending your Son so that we might have eternal life.

There is nothing like a beautiful sunset, with brilliant golds and pinks to remind us who the Artist of the universe is.

The sign below was made for me by my granddaughter when she was 2, (with a little help from her momma), she just turned 12. I have been wanting to share it with you and thought the beginning of spring was a good time. I love it, it is so cute.

Ok, now to reveal the winner of my Creamy Rose Milk Soap drawing, that related to my Rose posts of the last two Pink Saturdays.

Drum roll, Please and the winner is #32..........................................

Wendy from Homemaking in High Heels.............Congrats, Wendy I hope you enjoy the soaps

I will be sending an email to Wendy in a few minutes. In the meantime I hope you have enjoyed this Pink Saturday and that you will go over to see Beverly @ How Sweet the Sound and visit the other Pink Bloggers.

Happy Easter everyone
