Pink Saturday - Quilting

Happy Pink Saturday  All ya'll

I thought I would share the quilt I have been working on.
This is only part of it, there are 3 more rows to add.
I want to invite you to visit my other blog
I am giving a blow by blow on the construction of this quilt,
I took the "Process Pledge" so am
sharing the process of making this beauty.
If you think it has been easy, you might want to see how it has thrown me for a loop by visiting
my other blog  here
and either get a good laugh, or feel sorry for me.  Grin.

May God Bless you richly.

Pink Saturday - Quilt & Lynnie

It is Pink Saturday again......what a wonderful treat to wake up to each week.

I really wanted to get around and visit every PS post last week for the birthday party
but alas that did not happen. I visited as many as I could and because I am writing this on
Friday night, I will go a visiting tonight.

This week I have someone very special to share with you, she has
been in my life for a very long time, and is kind of my name sake
her name is Lynne, (my middle name is Lynn)
Lynne is my doll, that I got when I was about 4 or so, and just know
that was a very long time ago.

She is dressed in the sweetest pink dress, that a friend made for me.
I could have made the dress but she loved making doll dresses, so I got one from her.

Introducing Lynne

Lynne sits on my night stand and watches over me as I sleep.

Next I would like to share with you the very first quilt I made.
It is call a stack and whack.
Why?
Because you stack the fabric, cut (whack) across it, then rotate the fabric
top to bottom on one of the half's only, and whack again, and continue the process
until you have the original fabrics in the #1 position again.

The stars were a total accident. We did 16 squares in each stack and two stacks
It was alot of fun and the only class I have taken for quilting.
The black sashing makes it look like a stained glass, at least to me.

I hope you are enjoying Pink Saturday.
To see more wonderful Pinkness, visit Beverly over at
How Sweet the Sound.

Thank you for stopping by, please leave a comment so I know you were here.

Happy Pink Saturday

Ink, Thread, Quilt

I just had to share this new project with all of you. This is a quilt (12" x12"). Which I colored with gelly roll pens and now I am adding embroidery.

The ink and paint technique is Sherry Rodgers-Harrison's creation. She has a way she treats the fabric so that the inks won't run, which she covers in her book. She then made up some kits so we could all try it, and I just had to because her creations are so amazing. So if you'd like to see more visit Sherry @ Sew Far Sew Good Note: I just love Sherry's work, I get no compensation for you visiting.
