Pink Saturday - Swinging Makeover

Welcome to Decorating My Tin Shack
Early this summer, once the rains of spring stopped
and the ground dryed out, but it was not to hot yet
I began to freshen up my swing.

This swing has always been pink, from
the day my hubby followed my directions and design
to build this for me.  The seat was made for
me by my son Josh, in high school shop class.
I decided though it was time to kick it up a knotch,
and beside one only lives once so why not have a berry pink swing!
How about this for pink??
It was time to cover the old paint job, so I spent a day sanding
(well really a morning) and washing things down.
Sanding that rust right out of my hair...er.... off my swing.
Hummy and his flower needed help, too.
Oh my this is berry, berry pink.  What do you think?
Now it did not take me all summer to make this swing berry pretty,
just to get pictures and tell you all about it.   :)

Winter has arrived here in Wyoming,
we have had several snow storms and this week they are
predicting  12 degrees as our high and a low of -1

So there won't be any more swinging on my berry bright swing till spring.
Though she will look berry pretty in snow.

Oh, my gosh, that's bright! LOL. I'm picturing that up on the hillside. You won't have to tell people to look for the water tower any more. Just tell them to look for the pink swing. I love it!

My goodness, Debbie, snow storms in Wyoming. I bet it is beautiful and here I am just 2 hours from the Gulf of Mexico in Louisiana. It dropped down to 55 last night. Love that you stepped it up a notch on the pink swing. I've only been pink a few weeks, so Happy PS and Happy Thanksgiving. Terri - www.morningdewdrops.typepad.com

Hi and Happy Pink Saturday, thanks for stopping by my blog! Your pink swing is great and I bet you can't wait until Spring to swing again. How wonderful that your son and hubby made it I can just see it with a hot pink and black and maybe a bit of white cushion, see my mind is always going even on someone else's creations. Love the look! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! Hugs, Marilou, Lulu's Lovlies

Love the pink, very different and refreshing. It's going to be a welcome bright spoy of color once the snow arrives.

Oh my gosh I love that pink swing. Your husband made it? It's art! My dad had a wrought iron shop - wish I could go back in time and have some of the things he made. HPS :) Nancy
